Post 5. Overpopulation on land

Alessandro Lacerti

Overpopulation is one of the hazards and serious problem, which creates a great obstacle in the way of national development. It is estimated that growth in human population affect the global land use pattern available for agriculture, forest land cover, nearby area of different type of water bodies.

It doesn’t depend only on the size or density of the population, but on the ratio of population to available sustainable resources

In past few years, cities grow due to the rapid increase in world population and the migration of people from villages to cities. Overpopulated cities have used unplanned and uncontrolled settlements at the densely populated areas.

How can we solve overpopulation?
1-promote family planning: Simply educating men and women about contraception can have a big impact.
2-make education entertaining: Tell stories about the issues of reproduction
3-Government incentives: governments should promote “responsible parenthood” and subsidies should be limited to the first two children unless the family is living in poverty.

  1. Do you think we can solve this problem rationally, or will we depend on plague and famine and war to do it for us?
