As we all know cigarettes have a negative affect on you body, however a fact that is really not known is that cigarettes also negatively affect the land. They damage the environment badly. When you smoke a cigarette and throw the buds on the ground, you This is another cause of toxic waste. Cigarettes contain chemicals that harm us and once the buds are on the ground and they get washed up into the sea, they harm animals and wildlife as well. Our daily activities that require us to drive is one of the main contributors to air pollution. Our cars ,trucks, and busses that we drive daily contribute half of nitrogen oxides in our air. The nitrogen oxides that are released are a major source of global warming emissions in the US. It is the destruction and contamination of the land through the direct and indirect actions of humans. The affects of pollution isn't done overnight. It comes from a long-term destruction from human activities. We may not even be able to see the affects through clarity, but know it is. By not having green cover, the soil is at greater risk of soil erosion and washing out fields.    There are alot of things that can cause land pollution and that is deforestation and soil erosion, agricultural activities, mining activities, overcrowded landfills, industrialization, construction activities, nuclear waste and sewage treatment.
