(post 2) Conservation Lands Are A Must
By: Casey Williams

Conservation Areas are a way conserving land and life. They are protected areas not only helps conserve the natural landscape and geography, but also the wildlife that lives there. This article is very accurate and really trustworthy as in telling us what these areas actually do for the environment. Protecting the wildlife and preserving it. Earth's natural resources include air, minerals, plants, soil, water, and wildlife. These things are what we need to care for and to protect for them to continue on for future years. These lands are very important to me because they are preserving the wildlife and making sure those species that are at risk of extinction can get taken care of.
By introducing the Conservation Area's, they established the U.S. Endangered Species Act in 1973. Generating this was to protect the extinction pressures. "Currently, more than 26,500 species are estimated to be at risk of extinction, though the exact number is difficult to calculate." Stated in the article.
Protecting these lands lets me know that the environment is in good hands, knowing that they are doing their best preserving the wildlife. Using land like this is very beneficial. Having them will let you know that there are no habitat destruction, and pollution.
By not having these lands, it will only take time for most of the species to go extinct. We need to maintain a healthy environment. We don't want the animals that we love become a distant memory, so we need to maintain a healthy and functional ecosystem.

I honestly feel like this is a great article to read about because it definitely opened my eyes about how many animals are at risk of extinction, which is very crazy to me. It made me realize that these lands are a need and there would be nothing running around, if we didn't have them.

ReplyDeleteCasey I think it is really cool how the conservation is reserving lands to help these animals and allow them to thrive. Great job Casey!
